Weekend Recap

Hello Everyone,

I was hoping to post yesterday but instead I took a nap. Shameful, I know! Anyways, this past weekend was a busy and rainy one. I refused to let the rain stop me from goin out and having fun though! Fellow bloggers, my big motto is this: If you work hard, then you can play hard. After studying for a hard midterm last Tuesday, handing in a paper on Friday, and having another midterm coming up this Thursday, I needed some big time stress relief. On Friday, I went off campus with some of the ladies from ballroom to a place called Sportsbar where we pretty much danced the night away. There is nothing quite like a girls-night-out where you just dance. Of course my feet were killing me by the end of the night but thats just the price you pay for wearing heels that make you feel fabulous.

On Saturday night, Binghamton had a university wide semi-formal. It was kind of cute although it reminded me of being at a high school dance in my freshman year - boys on one side and girls on the other. But all in all it was a fun time.
Semi-Formal:

I am wearing: Dress: (Old Navy); Stockings:(H&M); Booties (Vintage); Jacket: Larry Levine; Necklace: Charlotte Russe

These booties are my all time favorite; I have had them since high school and for the life of me, I cannot remember where I got them from. However, they have lasted me this long and I pray that they will continue lasting for a while. Normally when I go downtown, I would wear sandals, or open-toed heels but with the winter and snow, it is hard to have fun while your toes are freezing off. With these heels they are closed toes and can work with jeans, dresses, or capris and formal or causal.

I love any type of long necklace with a heart-shaped key, hearts, or the Eiffal Tower...yes I have one of those in gold, also from Charlotte Russe.

Off to dance!

After the semi-formal, I ran back to my room to quickly change since some of us were going to a frat house for a mixer and then to a night lounge. I decided to take a risk and wear an open back shirt with my animal print bra showing. Normally, I would put a laced cami underneath but I wanted to wear something different. I paired the shirt with jeans and wore the same heels minus the necklace.

I am wearing: Shirt: (Charlotte Russe); Jeans: (Arizona); Booties: (Vintage)

For my hair, I normally wear it straight down or throw a hairband on. However, since I had an open back shirt, I wanted to throw my hair into an updo. I took a hairclip and twisted a ponytail (minus the elastic hairband) into the clip and let the shorter layers in the front towards my face hang loose.

Why do fun weekends always go by too fast? Counting down the days until next Friday!

Have a lovely day!

Semi-formal sounds so much fun :) In the past four years of university, I have yet to attend one :)

Very cute look!

Love your dress! Stripes are always a winner in my opinion (especially when paired with tights).
Haha, I definitely played hard after finishing high school - my friends and I went on a week-long trip interstate and partied. Definitely deserving, after 13 years of school.
Good luck for your midterm!
