Grown Ups

Hello Darlings,

The other night, I went out to the movies with some girlies. We originally wanted to see Inception, but it was unfortunately sold out; instead we saw Grownups. It was surprisingly really good and funny. It was weird to watch it in the sense that the storyline was about how this generation is so different from previous generations. I won't give away the plot, but it brought attention to the fact that kids today no longer go outside to play silly games such as tag or hide-and-go-seek but instead stay inside to play video games; how the age of children getting cellphones is dropping and instead of talking to people face to face, they simply text. It was refreshing to see a movie where the plot is simple, yet funny, a tad bit crude but still tasteful, with an important message to stay a kid at heart.

The outfit I wore was pretty simple. I threw on a classic white tee over jeans and belted it to make it more "put together." The belt is brown so I decided to break out my new brown wedges to match. I've always considered going to the movies as a casual evening out, but at the last minute I decided to dress up the outfit with the wedges. The bag is a new piece that I bought orginally for the cruise because of it's bright summer-y yellow color, yet it felt wrong to keep it in hiding for the remaining summer weeks.

I am wearing: Shirt: (The Gap); Jeans: (Levi); Shoes: (Unlabeled); Bag: (Spring)

Thank you all for the great song selections! I will most definitely be checking them all out and am looking foward to adding them to my Ipod! :)

Kisses!

I saw Grownups! It's was cute, but I was a little dissappointed! With all these hilarious men in one movie, you'd think it'd be hysterical! Oh well....Salma Hayek was looking fierce!

You look lovely. I adore the bag. And I want to see Grown ups!! I like how it sheds light on an important topic. It reminds me of Don't Mess with the Zohan. It's this crude comedy that sheds light on the strained relations between Israelites & Palestinians.

You look so cute! The belt totally elevated the casual look. Great choice =)

Last night I was watching a cell phone commercial and thinking, "Wow every kid now has a cell phone. That must cost parents so much money."

...LOL. I'm already worrying about wasting my money on my kid's cell phone when I don't have a child, let alone a man! I didn't get a real cell phone until graduating high school!
