10 + 10 = 20th Birthday!

Hello Darlings,

I celebrated my birthday today in a simple and relaxed way. My sister surprised me this morning by waking me up with a tray of breakfast! She had a day off from school to study for her exams and I so appreciated the fact that she took time out of her study time to cook me some delicious breakfast. The rest if my day was spent relaxing and cleaning up around the house. My parents were at work, Nicole was studying, and all my friends live too far away to have a spontaneous visit (although they were a constant presence today with all of their lovely facebook and twitter birthday comments - thank you loves!)

In the evening I met up with my cousin who lives across the street from me and we went walking/jogging with the dog to get some summer excercise...We just recently booked a cruise to the Virgin Islands at the end of August and we need to get bikini body ready :p After excercising I came home and quickly showered and got ready to go out to our favorite Chinese restaurant.

I am wearing: Studded Headband: (Forever 21); Shirt: (Unlabeled); Jeans: Skinny Levi's; Sandals: (Unlabeled)

My dinner was peppersteak with fried rice and an egg roll..yummy!

When we came home I changed into comfy sweats and then was presented with a delicious chocolate cake in the kitchen. It's our little family tradition for the birthday girl/boy too go wait in the hallway while the candles are being lit and as I walked in, I was greeted with the Happy Birthday song. The cake was soooo good and my presents were super cute! Some of the ones that really stuck out were the ones that Nicole got for me. She ordered a piece of Harry Potter memorabelia since she knows what a dedicated hard core fan I am of the series - The Maurauder's Map! I also got a cute tee shirt from the television show Lost - it was the smoke monster in the form of the cookie monster from Seasame Street and he was holding a small airplane!. I love it because its cute and hilarious but subtle - only a true Lost fan would be able to recognize it if I ever wore it out! I also received some other really awesome items and my mom promised to take me shopping for some new clothing items and necessities for the upcoming Southern Caribean cruise.

All in all it was a lovely way to ring in my 20th birthday. I missed my brother but am hopefully going to see him when he comes in next weekend. Also, I am in the middle of planning a get together in my backyard with friends from Binghamton -can't wait!

Kisses!

Looks like you had a great birthday! There's nothing like a chocolate cake with your name on it...to make you feel special!
